Feng shui Mirrors

mirror Mystery of feng shui mirrorsMirrors  are used as primary cure in fengshui and are considered extremely powerful. What makes them powerful ? What is the mystery behind this  fengshui cure ?

Mirrors symbolize water and increase the space element. They reflect, deflect, expand, invert, reverse, absorb, and even dissipate subtle energies.

They are placed at strategic locations to achieve a desired result in life .

Ideally, mirrors should go on the north and east walls of your home or office to expand the life supporting energy coming from those directions. Mirrors can keep the energy flowing on walls.

Be careful where you place mirrors, since placing them incorrectly will create distorted and conflicting patterns of energy that disturb the harmony in your home. Be sure to de-clutter your space first, since mirrors magnify clutter. continue

Understanding

Fengshui

Feng Shui is the Chinese art of creating harmonious environment inside a building structure. ‘Feng’ pronounced as ‘Foong’ means wind and ‘Shui ‘pronounced ‘Shway’ means water.

Feng Shui claims that every human comes under the influence of three types of luck namely

  1. Heaven luck: luck you are born with that is the influence of stars and planets on your destiny or retribution or reward you receive for the deeds of your past life. This type of luck is very difficult to change
  2. Earth luck: luck you draw from the places you live and work in. this part of the trinity of luck is the easiest to correct and can be totally turned in your favour.
  3. Mankind luck: luck you draw by really working hard with devotion and dedication that is your karma. This is a general assumption that each person would do his best.

With Feng Shui it is possible to improve and enhance ‘Earth Luck’ and ‘Mankind Luck’ to a great proportion so that shortcomings of’ Heaven Luck’ is compensated and an individual can enjoy a happy and prosperous life

In Feng Shui Earth and Heaven are important factors in creation. Heaven is male and Earth is female. The Interaction between them creates wind and water. Wind (Feng) and Water (Shui) create CHI the bio force of universal life force.

Yin and Yang

Heaven is referred as Yang and earth is referred as Yin.

yin and yang What is fengshui

yang and yin

As seen in the picture above the Yin and Yang merge into each other depicting that there is no absolute male or female energy. Yin follows Yang and Yang follows Yin in uniform nature. Their interaction creates CHI – the life force.

To understand feng shui it is important to understand CHI is a universal life force. It is a form of energy that can be equated Tao of physics or Prana of Hindus or Bio Plasma /Bio-force of the west. Chi is a energy form that engulfs the universe, it creates, sustains and destroys . It is chi that makes life possible everything we do from birth till death, every activity we perform metal or physical is because of Chi.

Chi has two aspects positive and negative and it changes form from one into another compare it to fire that generates heat energy in positive form it comforts us but in negative form it destroys us.

Chi is created with interaction of yin and yang.

Depending on the balance between yin and yang the Chi can be positive

The Good Chi

  • North – Nourishing Chigood chi What is fengshui
  • South- Vigorous Chi
  • East – Stimulating Chi
  • West- Warming Chi
  • North East- Flourishing Chi
  • South East- Expansive Chi
  • North West- Creative Chi
  • South West – Soothing Chi

If yin and yang are out of balance the Chi becomes destructive

The Bad Chi

  • North – depletingbad chi What is fengshui
  • South- lifeless
  • East – listless
  • West- unpredictable
  • North East- Stagnant
  • South East- destructive
  • North West- Strained Relations
  • South West – Restless

Feng Shui is concerned in creating environment inside a building structure where maximum Good Chi is generated and Bad Chi is difused  so the occupants live a life of happiness and prosperity.

About feng shui

Fengshui is the art of placement of things, ranging from orientation of the buildings to furnishing of interiors in a manner that generates positive energy and kills the negative energy surrounding the persons living in the premises.

This ancient Chinese system also known as geomancy has two basic schools i.e. Farm School and compass school. The compass school concepts are more accepted and widely publicized and is the common form of feng shui we see today.

Feng shui compass school is mainly based on combinations of   “Lo-shu”

5element of fengshui What is fengshui

The five elements describe five essential qualities of chi (life force energy),which you can use to enhance, control, or balance a space, depending on your needs :

The  5 elements Metal → Water→Wood→Fire→Earth (Productive Cycle)

Metal helps you concentrate and get things done; its inward focus helps you clear your head and cope with details. Water is helpful when things have been stuck for a while (think of ice melting), and for improving communication. It is also associated with cash flow and opportunities. Wood energy is associated with new beginnings, and it can help you make smooth progress in the projects you undertake.Fire creates heat and action, and is the energy to use when you want to increase passion and intensity in any area of your life. Earth energy is good when things are chaotic and you need more stability, or if your are dealing with issues of commitment, nurturing, or receptivity.

Each element is associated with specific shapes and colors:

Metal—white, gold, silver, grey; round and oval shapes, arches

Water—black and dark blues; sinuous, curvy, irregular, and wavelike shapes

Wood—greens and light blues; tall narrow shapes

Fire—reds, purples, bright oranges; triangles, flame shapes and other pointed or angular shapes

Earth—browns, yellows, cool or muted oranges; low, flat, square shapes

The 5 Elements are  used to adjust the energy of specific rooms and areas of your home. Each element generates energy and the same is to be used to increase the strength of particular area  or block the negative energy forces using the destructive cycle of the elements

Feng shui  Bagua

Each gua is associated with one of the elements, as shown below. There are three earth guas (including the tai chi), two wood and two metal guas, and one gua each for water and fire. The element of each gua determines the color associated with it.
